Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias have quietly assembled one of Miami’s most private family compounds. In 2009, the singer and former tennis star bought waterfront land in Bay Point for $5 million and later built a 17,528-square-foot mansion with seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a tennis court and views of Biscayne Bay. In 2025, a company tied to Iglesias bought another nearby house for $6.5 million, expanding the family’s holdings in the gated neighborhood, according to the Miami Herald and Realtor.com.The couple’s Bay Point home has become the centre of their life away from the spotlight. Kournikova and Iglesias, who met on the set of his 2001 music video for Escape, share three children and have largely avoided public appearances in recent years. Their latest purchase suggests that the family is not merely staying put, but building out a larger base in the same quiet block.

The original waterfront purchase

Kournikova and Iglesias first bought one of the plots that would become their future home in 2009, paying $5 million for the land. Realtor.com estimates that the single plot is now worth close to double that amount. The mansion that followed took several years to complete and was finished in 2013. It spans 17,528 square feet of living space and includes seven bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The two-story home sits on a waterfront plot with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay. Its amenities include a lavish pool, a tennis court, a private dock and a boat jetty, along with a large cabana-style building beside the court.

A home designed for privacy

Bay Point is an exclusive gated community just north of downtown Miami, known for attracting celebrities who value privacy. Realtor.com notes that residents have included musicians Willy Chirino and DMX, as well as athletes Dwyane Wade, Goran Dragic and Liván Hernández. For Kournikova and Iglesias, that privacy has become especially important. The couple began dating in 2001 and were frequently photographed together early in their relationship, but they have since withdrawn from public life while raising their three children. The mansion’s scale and waterfront setting give the family room to live largely out of view. Realtor.com has valued the property at up to $26 million over the years, while other homes on the same road have sold for as much as $85.2 million in recent months.

The 2025 purchase next door

In 2025, a company tied to Iglesias paid $6.5 million for a 4,350-square-foot house on Sabal Palm Road, the same block where the couple lives. The property has five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and sits on a 0.3-acre lot.The Miami Herald described the house as a sprawling midcentury home built in 1957, with bright interiors and plenty of closet space. It is located in one of Miami’s most sought-after communities, according to Zillow information cited by the newspaper. With the addition, the family’s Bay Point compound now totals about 2.5 acres. The purchase places another substantial property under the same ownership structure and reinforces the couple’s long-term commitment to the neighborhood.

A family real estate pattern

The Bay Point properties are not the only Miami homes connected to the couple. In 2015, they bought another Miami property for $1.8 million and renovated it for Kournikova’s grandparents. The renovation expanded the home to six bedrooms, six and a half bathrooms and 5,331 square feet of living space. But the finished house proved too large for its intended residents, so the couple listed it for sale in 2018 for $4.85 million. That history shows a consistent approach: buy in desirable locations, renovate or build for family needs, and keep much of the activity out of public view. The 2025 Sabal Palm Road purchase follows the same pattern.

Why Bay Point keeps drawing them back

Bay Point offers a rare combination for Miami buyers: proximity to downtown, waterfront access and the security of a gated community. Those qualities have made it popular with celebrities and high-profile families seeking space without sacrificing convenience. For Iglesias, the neighborhood also has personal history. The Miami Herald reports that he has lived in the area since the late 1990s, long before he and Kournikova built their current home there. The couple’s growing compound reflects both that familiarity and their desire for privacy. Rather than moving to a new community, they have expanded within the same leafy, gated block where they have raised their children.

From $5 million land to a $26 million estate

The value of the couple’s original investment has changed dramatically since 2009. A $5 million land purchase became the site of a 17,528-square-foot waterfront mansion that has been valued at up to $26 million. The 2025 acquisition adds another layer to the story. A $6.5 million midcentury house on the same road brings the family’s Bay Point holdings to roughly 2.5 acres, giving them more room and flexibility in one of Miami’s most exclusive enclaves. For Kournikova and Iglesias, the properties are less about public display than about family life. Their Bay Point compound has become a private waterfront base, built over 16 years and now expanded with a home directly on their own block.
