India head into the knockout clash in impressive form, having won all five of their league-stage matches to finish at the top of the standings with 15 points. The hosts scored 34 goals and conceded just five, underlining their dominance throughout the tournament.
Harmanpreet Singh has led India’s charge with nine goals, while Sukhjeet Singh and Dilpreet Singh have also made valuable contributions with four goals each.
India will be particularly confident after registering an emphatic 8-0 victory over South Korea in their final league-stage encounter. However, captain Harmanpreet and head coach Craig Fulton will be wary of complacency as the Koreans look to produce a stronger performance in the knockout stage.
South Korea will need to improve their defensive organisation and find ways to contain India’s attacking threat, particularly from penalty corners. India have also enjoyed recent success against the Koreans, including an 8-2 victory at the 2026 Asian Games.
