'You are disgusting, put yourself in shape': Trump mocks reporter's appearance after being questioned about his health
President Trump unloaded on a reporter saying, “You look like hell”

US President Donald Trump launched a personal attack on a journalist who questioned him about his health and the cancellation of planned campaign rallies in Kansas and Iowa, telling the reporter to “put yourself in shape” and that he looked “like hell”.The exchange took place on Thursday when a reporter asked whether Trump’s decision not to travel to Kansas was linked to him feeling unwell after weeks of campaigning.Trump reacted angrily, telling the journalist, “Oh, you’re sick to ask that question. You are sick.”When the reporter clarified that he was asking about the President’s well-being, Trump turned to the journalist’s appearance. “Look at this guy. He’s way out of shape,” Trump said.Asked again about his health, Trump insisted he was fine. “I’ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect,” he said, before adding, “You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.”The confrontation came as Trump cancelled planned weekend rallies in Kansas and Iowa, opting instead to address voters through phone rallies ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections.Trump had been scheduled to campaign in Salina, Kansas, on Saturday and Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday. Asked about skipping Kansas, he said he did not “feel like I have to go to Kansas” and expressed confidence in Republican Senator Roger Marshall’s prospects. The Republican National Committee (RNC) later confirmed the cancellation of the Iowa event as well. Trump’s campaign funding group, MAGA Inc., said it would organise phone rallies across nearly 20 states as part of a final push to support Republican candidates before Election Day.The cancellations come as Republicans face a difficult fight to retain their narrow control of both chambers of Congress, with several Senate races tightening in the final days of campaigning. Trump has held 25 rallies across 19 states in October, seeking to boost Republican candidates.Despite cancelling the two appearances, Trump is scheduled to travel to Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday for another campaign event.Trump has previously acknowledged the physical demands of his campaign schedule. Speaking at a rally in Mississippi on Monday, he said, “God didn’t make your vocal cords to do a rally every day.”
