The longtime Los Angeles home of late NBA player Jason Collins has been listed for $3.75 million, months after the former basketball star died from glioblastoma at age 47. Collins lived in the Brentwood-area property from 2004 until his death in May, making it his home through more than two decades of his personal life and NBA career.Collins purchased the house for $2.39 million, according to PropertyShark records. The property is now being sold by a relative of the former NBA center, while Coldwell Banker Realty agent Tania Ferris brought the home to market earlier this month.

Collins spent 13 seasons in the NBA, with his longest stint coming with the New Jersey Nets, where he played his first seven seasons.In 2013, Collins became the first active male athlete in one of the four major North American professional sports leagues to publicly come out as gay when he announced his sexuality in a Sports Illustrated cover story.He returned to the Nets in 2014, by then based in Brooklyn, for the final season of his career. His return made him the first publicly gay athlete to play in any of North America’s four major professional sports leagues.That same year, Collins was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People.
