NBA star Julian Champagnie buys $3.1 million San Antonio home after signing $45 million Spurs deal; inside his 5,000-sq-ft property

NBA star Julian Champagnie is putting down roots in San Antonio. The Spurs forward has purchased a luxury home in the city’s exclusive Dominion community for a reported $2.34 million, just months after signing a new three-year, $45 million contract with the team, according to the San Antonio Business Journal and CultureMap San Antonio. The property had been listed for $3.1 million, making the reported sale price significantly lower than its asking price. The 5,068-square-foot home sits on roughly half an acre inside the gated community in far Northwest San Antonio.

A luxury home built in 2021

Built by Burdick Custom Homes in 2021, the single-story residence has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. Its interiors combine contemporary design with high-end finishes, including white oak flooring, marble, porcelain tile and stone surfaces.Large windows bring plenty of natural light into the living spaces, while the main living room features a floor-to-ceiling fireplace and views of the outdoor entertaining area. The kitchen is designed for both everyday use and entertaining, with a large waterfall island and Thermador appliances. Behind the main kitchen is a separate prep kitchen equipped with its own refrigerator, sink, oven, dishwasher and microwave.

A wine room, wet bar and spa-style bathroom

The home also has features aimed at entertaining. A glass-enclosed wine room adds a striking focal point, while a game room comes with a full wet bar. The primary suite includes a spacious en-suite bathroom with dual sinks, a rain shower and a garden tub. Walk-in closets add to the home’s generous storage space. Outside, the property has a covered living area, patio, swimming pool and spa, creating a private setup for relaxing away from the basketball court.

A major new chapter for Champagnie

The home purchase comes at a significant moment in Champagnie’s career. The Spurs signed the 25-year-old forward to a three-year, $45 million contract in June after he helped San Antonio reach the 2026 NBA Finals. The deal secured his future with the franchise through the 2028-29 season.Champagnie arrived in the NBA as an undrafted player out of St. John’s in 2022 and briefly played for the Philadelphia 76ers before joining the Spurs. He developed into an important part of San Antonio’s rotation and became a starter during the 2023-24 season. His 2025-26 campaign marked another step forward. He played all 82 regular-season games, averaged 11.1 points and 5.8 rebounds and emerged as one of San Antonio’s leading three-point shooters. He also set a franchise record with 195 three-pointers during the regular season. Now, after securing his long-term future with the Spurs, Champagnie has added an equally substantial piece of his life off the court: a sprawling new home in one of San Antonio’s most sought-after communities. The new property reflects the momentum Champagnie has built both professionally and personally. With his future in San Antonio firmly established, the home marks another major milestone in his rapidly evolving career.
