Nagomi from House of Oaksmith Secures Gold at Global Platform 2026

Nagomi from House of Oaksmith has been awarded Gold Medal for Worldwide Spirits at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2026, one of the world’s most respected spirits competitions, marking a significant global milestone for Oaksmith®, India’s pioneering international blended spirits brand. The ISC is recognised globally for its blind-tasting evaluation process conducted by leading industry experts and spirits specialists.

Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Nagomi, which represents harmony and balance, this premium expression brings together aged blends, smooth American-crafted blends and refined Japanese blending expertise. The result is a spirit that delivers layered richness, remarkable smoothness and a balanced flavour profile, resonating strongly with Indian consumers seeking elevated, globally informed spirits experiences.

Nagomi is crafted under the vision of Shinji Fukuyo, Chief Blender at Suntory and Master Blender of the Year at the International Spirits Challenge 2024, whose approach marries precision, depth and character across global spirits traditions.

Beyond this international recognition, Oaksmith continues to build strong momentum closer home. In 2025, Nagomi won Grand Gold for Best Indian Spirits (Blended Category) and Product Debut of the Year at the 12th Spiritz Conclave and Achievers Awards, underscoring its growing influence and relevance within India’s premium spirits landscape.

Nobukazu Aoki, Head of Marketing and Innovations, Suntory Global Spirits India, added: “Nagomi’s recognition at the International Spirits Challenge 2026 is a significant milestone not only for Oaksmith but also for the evolving premium spirits category in India. Today’s consumers are increasingly seeking brands that offer authenticity, craftsmanship and distinctive experiences. Nagomi embodies these aspirations through its unique blend of global spirits traditions and Japanese artistry. This award further validates our vision of creating contemporary premium experiences that resonate with modern Indian consumers while meeting the highest global standards of quality.”

Commenting on the win, Rashi Singh, Director Marketing – Indian & American Spirits, Suntory Global Spirits India, said: “Winning a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2026 is a proud moment for Nagomi from Oaksmith and a testament to our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and innovation. This recognition highlights the growing prominence of Indian premium brands on the global stage. Nagomi reflects our commitment to blending global spirits-making expertise with local relevance, and this achievement inspires us to continue raising the bar for premium blended products in India.”

On the palate, Nagomi presents a rich golden hue, with aromas of soft smoke, ripe fruit and gentle spice. The taste unfolds with rounded oak notes, subtle sweetness and a smooth, full-bodied texture, leading to a long, clean and harmonious finish. Its bottle design, inspired by Japanese aesthetics, mirrors the spirits philosophy; strong, understated and timeless.

Nagomi is currently available in Maharashtra, Goa and West Bengal.
