Keonjhar: Akash Bisoi, Keonjhar district labour officer, was arrested by Odisha vigilance while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an electrical contractor for grant of labour licence in favour of his agency. “As a labour licence was required to engage the labourers to execute the work, the contractor applied online on Aug 14 at Bisoi’s office. He demanded the bribe. He was caught red-handed with the bribe money,” a vigilance statement said.
