Keonjhar: An inebriated man allegedly attacked his wife with a wooden plank and killed her, while demanding food. The incident created turmoil in Mallipashi Bhumija Sahi under Patna police station in Keonjhar district.The deceased has been identified as Sabita Bhumija (25).Sources said on Saturday night, the accused, Hemant Bhumija, came home in a drunken state and started arguing with his wife for food. During the altercation, he struck her with a wooden plank weighing around 20 kg. She collapsed and died of severe bleeding.On being alerted on Sunday morning, Patna police rushed to the spot and arrested Hemant before taking him to the police station.
