Rourkela: An owner of a shoe shop in Angul district was on Tuesday arrested for allegedly operating a sex racket in her establishment.Acting on a tip-off, a team from Town police station raided the shop near DIC Chowk on Monday night and found a woman and a male customer in an alleged compromising position inside a hidden room in the shop, in the presence of the shop owner. Police brought the accused woman, who is the kingpin of this racket, the victim woman and the male customer to the police station and interrogated them. Police also sealed the shoe shop.Town police have arrested the accused shoe shop owner. Police have also seized a mobile phone and objectionable materials. Town police, after registering a case, have started investigating the case, to know about involvement of any other persons in this sex racket.“We have arrested a woman, the kingpin of this sex racket who owns the shoe shop and our further investigation is underway,” said Prakash Majhi, inspector in-charge, Town police station.
