A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck the central Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Tuesday at 11:14 am IST, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).The earthquake took place at a depth of 10 km.Earlier in the day, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 struck Panama at 4:50:37 am IST, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).The tremor was recorded at a depth of 10 km, with its epicentre located at latitude 7.683 degrees north and longitude 81.405 degrees west.The earthquake came days after a powerful tremor struck the country and triggered a series of aftershocks.
