Berhampur: Five members of two families sustained injuries in a clash over parental property at Ambatha village under Pattapur police station limits in Ganjam district on Sunday.Police registered two counter-cases and started an investigation. No arrests have been made, police said. The injured persons were Babula Nahak (53), his wife Tikina (45), their son Bhola (19), Babula’s brother Siba (40) and Siba’s wife Sulata (35). Babula and Siba have disputed the division of their paternal property for several years.On Sunday morning, Siba allegedly abused his elder brother while Babula was busy with household work. This led to a clash between the two families. Siba and Sulata sustained serious injuries and were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here, and their condition is stated to be out of danger. The others received treatment at the Adapada hospital.
