Bhubaneswar: A family dispute turned fatal in Dhenkanal district’s Parjang area early on Sunday, with a man allegedly beating his wife to death before ending his own life, police said.The deceased were identified as Rashmita Naik (30) and her husband, Mithun Naik (33).According to the police, the couple had an argument on Sunday and Mithun allegedly assaulted Rashmita. She died from the injuries sustained in the assault. Police said Mithun subsequently hanged himself from a tree in front of their house.Kamakhyanagar SDPO Chittaranjan Behera said, “A case has been registered and an investigation is underway. The couple’s three minor daughters were also present during the heated argument,” Behera added.
