Samsung can’t stop making fun of Apple, shares a string of posts, calls iPhone Duo ‘boring’
Apple iPhone Duo comes with a starting price of Rs 2,99,900

iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable phone, is now official. While its rival, Samsung, launched its first foldable almost 8 years ago, Apple dedicated years to perfecting its offering. During Apple’s high-profile “Surprise and shine” presentation in California, where the company also unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, Samsung Mobile US took to social platform X (formerly Twitter) to run a real-time, fun-making session of the entire launch event. The South Korean smartphone giant began firing sarcastic comments well before the headline device hit the stage.

Fun-making paired with ItsTimeToSwitch hashtag

Early in the broadcast, Samsung posted, “So far, so same,” pairing the jab with its promotional hashtag #ItsTimeToSwitch. As Apple showcased the restructured chassis and camera housing on the iPhone 18 Pro, Samsung followed up with another quip: “It’s feeling very familiar. Is this a Sims sequel…”, poking fun at what it framed as marginal visual shifts.Apple kept audiences waiting for its foldable model until the tail end of the event with classic “One More Thing”. Samsung mocked the delay by touting its own multi-hinge engineering: “Making us wait? Fine. We’ll be over here, folding 3 ways.” The comment served as a direct nod to the Galaxy Z TriFold, reminding viewers that while the Cupertino-based giant was just entering the traditional book-style folding arena, Samsung had already progressed to triple-screen designs.

Samsung mocks the iPhone Duo reveal

When Apple finally brought out the $1,999 iPhone Duo, Samsung delivered its sharpest roast of the day: “Let us know when you’re done reheating our leftovers 😉”.The online banter grew louder when language platform Duolingo jumped into the replies. Known for its green owl mascot, the learning app turned Apple’s branding choice into an impromptu meme. This transformed a corporate product launch into a chaotic public group thread.Other posts include:Was there range? No.Was it exciting? No.Did it happen? Yes.#ItsTimeToSwitchNot the bed side clock.
