NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his greetings to the people on Janmashtami, Lord Krishna’s birthday.PM Modi said the divine messages of Krishna have guided humanity and inspire selfless action.In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “Heartfelt Janmashtami greetings to all of you. In the divine messages of Lord Shri Krishna lies the profound inspiration for selfless action, which has continuously guided humanity. May this sacred occasion, dedicated to his devotion and worship, infuse positive energy and strength into everyone’s life—that is my heartfelt wish. Jai Shri Krishna!”President Draupadi Murmu also expressed her best wishes to all Indians living in the country and abroad.She asked people to resolve towards building an inclusive and developed India by embracing the ideals of Lord Krishna.“The life and teachings of Lord Krishna infuse new vitality into Indian culture and philosophy; He showed the path of truth, righteousness, justice, compassion, and selfless action”, the President wrote on X.
